    1. [BAYLISS] Hattie L. Bayliss 1879-1960 & Eddy Gridley
    2. The Bayliss name is very remote in my tree. Hattie L. Bayliss 1879-1960 marr 1895 at Franklin Co. IA to Eddy B. Gridley 1874-1966. They had five children. I suspect that my details of Hattie's parents, Thomas Henry Bayliss, Sr. & Mary Ann Whitely, and Hattie's two younger siblings came from Jim Bayliss, 11102 N. 76th St., Peoria, AZ 623-412-9139, jimb6803@aol.com <mailto:jimb6803@aol.com> Recent efforts to follow thru with him have failed and he may have died. Hattie L. Bayliss was a sister of Jim's grandfather, Thomas Henry Bayliss, Jr. b. 1884. The 3rd child of Thomas Sr. & Mary was Alice Sarah Bayliss b. 1882. My connection to Hattie Bayliss is most obscure and thru her husband. I would love to learn more about Eddy & Hattie's children and their desc. down to today. If you have further information please let me know. Do you know who T. Bayliss, Sr. is? My g-g-grandfather had a brother, Thomas Bayliss. They came from Clun in Shropshire, England. 3. Hi Peter, I would love to help you but I don’t know where the Bayless name is from in my tree. For the longest time it was thought to be my GG grandmother’s maiden name. However that was not the case. I believe that Bayless was the surname of my grandfather’s father. The only thing I know is that my grandfather was left at an orphanage by his aunt and taken out by his brothers a few years later. At the time his Aunt left him at the orphanage, she told them that his mother was dead and his father was living and his name was Mr. Bayless. I find no birth record for my grandfather anywhere I have looked, DC, MD, or VA. This has been a big brick wall for me for a long time. I had my uncle do a y dna test and so far nothing. Sorry I cannot be of more help to you. Patti Patti > On May 24, 2019, at 11:18 AM, <peterpool@comcast.net> <peterpool@comcast.net> wrote: > > The Bayliss name is very remote in my tree. Hattie L.
