Rick, I am not sure, But I think I disagree with you. In Genealogy it is a blood line we are researching. If one is adopted and you research back to the adopted child the research stops before it gets to the adopted child. Genealogy is not just families living together. As goofy as this sounds, take a tea bag and place it inside a 10 gallon bucket , then keep pouring water into the bucket, watch how the water weakens the tea bag and the leaves began to float in the added water. The new water over powers the tea bag and become white again, until you see no signs of the tea bag. Once in a while you will see a tiny dot of the tea leave in the powerful 10 gallon bucket of water to let you know there was a beginning. To me this is like, some where in us we have a dot of something roaming around of where we started. The water is weak, but looking very closely you will see it's beginning, which is our ancestors.
