Your nephew may be right about DNA. Over the course of generations, DNA changed and diluted because offspring between two unrelated people occurs. If your nephew wants to believe that we are no longer related to our ancestors after the 3rd generation because of DNA, that is his choice-no matter how narrow minded. Family/relatives/ancestors are not entirely scientific anyway. Families are social structures that are not bound by blood alone. I am an example of this. I am adopted.
