He went to Weakley County Tennessee around 1850 and 1860 census. I have found a Joseph Baxter in Gibson County, TN in the 1840 census. Joseph married a Nancy Hammack. Found this family in the 1840 Census of Gibson County, Tennessee page 202 2 males under 5 2 males 5 and under 10 1 male 40 and under 50 1 female under 5 1 female 30 and under 40 One of the male children under 5 must have died before the 1850 census.
