BAXTER, b. 1853-4 in Sweden, d. 1927 and buried in Salem Cemetery in Salem Heights, La Porte County, Indiana. He married Lucy WHITE (of Door Village, Indiana) on June 14, 1877 in La Porte County. Their children included my grgrandfather Charles Albert, Peter, Robert, and Jenny. 1900 Census indicates John and his parents born in Sweden but family lore tells us that they came to the US from Canada. Can anyone offer suggestions to research this?
