I've found/learned the following - please see if it matches your info, and let me know if you've found anything further over the past 4-5 years? Matthew Traynor - b. IL about 1885; both parents b. Ireland; possible brother Joseph Traynor, b. IL either 1886 or 1896 (census enumerations (Manhattan) from 1920 & 1930 vary). Matthew Traynor married Elizabeth BAXTER on 7-23-1917 in NY; (born 12-4-1898 NY). Matthew died Aug 1930; Elizabeth died 1961 NY. They had one daughter (Emma, b. abt 1918), and one son Matthew J, b. 1923 (d. 2003). thank you!

My father, Ronald Traynor Baxter (born Dundee, Scotland 14 September 1922, died Dundee 4 January 1986) was the son of Charles Baxter and Elizabeth (Lizzie) Traynor. The combination of these two surnames in your posting is probably just a coincidence but if you have any family links to Scotland (and Dundee in the county of Angus in particular) I might be able to help. I have long put off constructing a genealogical table for my daughters (both half-Irish) but if you are linked in any way this might be an incentive for me to do something about it.
