Hello All!! I was wondering if someone has the Webster County History Books available, and could send me a copy of the information regarding William Randolph and his family where he was killed and where his house was burned. I know there are two different books and I am not sure which one it is in. I also believe there are several articles printed on the family. I was wondering if a house was burned during the Civil War, does anyone know where the family might have gone? Other family members? What family historical societies are in the area? Can you send me their phone #'s and address and or e-mail addresses or websites. There has to be some kind of information where the family went after the house burned down or William R. got killed. I was also wondering about tax lists. Are they lists for taxes that are owed? or just what there property is worth? I know there is another article out there or something to the effect where the Arthur land was divided into several acres to family members. Anyone have this information? I need these to see if I can find any clues to where William's wife Mary might have went because I can't find her in VA., WV., or OH. in 1870 or her children. With the children's ages, I don't believe they all would be living with her. Any other states she could have went to? I have Mary Arthur; her daughter in 1870 and she is the only one. Need: Mary Margaret "Maime" BAXTER Arthur, Nathaniel C., George L., William A. & Richard Arthur. To many members not to find at least one of them. Of course, if anyone has been following my searches for my great grandfather Lee Anderson Arthur, he is no where to be found in 1870 too. Coincidence?? I sure would like to find the answer to that one. I guess, my next search will be to find any Baxter's in the area. Also, does anyone know about the Webster Raiders history or where I can find out about them? I am hoping that in my searches, maybe history will prevail in finding my ancestors. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!! Faith A. Blount
