Hi all, I am descended from John NIBLACK and Hannah BAXTER who apparently married in Sussex Co., NJ before 1774. John and family were in the group of original settlers of Sparta, Livingston Co., NY c. 1794 or so and both are pretty much brickwalls for me. John A. Niblack, b. c. 1747-1750, was served in the Revolutionary War and was said to have been from Monaghan, Ireland. Hannah BAXTER is another puzzle. She was likely born c. 1750 and was a NJ native. I can only assume that she was born in the Sussex area. I have thus far been unable to locate any information on any NJ Baxters for the time frame that I am researching.
