My BAXTER line was in Chenango County NY from about 1812-1870. My line came from a Samuel D. Baxter (married to Amy Lewis) from Sharon CT. I believe Samuel's father was named Augustus. I have a family bible from Charles Baxter, son of Samuel listing the many siblings of Charles with some birth dates, a couple of marriages, and death dates.
