Their mother was Beatrice Wheeler Baxter who was married to Frederick. I will get back to you with more information. Our Baxter family was from Upstate New York for MANY many years. The other part of the tree, the Holiday and Wheeler's came from Tioga County, Pa. They were there in the late 1700's and early 1800's. Our Baxter's must have been in New York for about the same lenght of time. I will get back to SOON with more Baxter names. Denise Kinney virgos123@aol.com

My BAXTER line was in Chenango County NY from about 1812-1870. My line came from a Samuel D. Baxter (married to Amy Lewis) from Sharon CT. I believe Samuel's father was named Augustus. I have a family bible from Charles Baxter, son of Samuel listing the many siblings of Charles with some birth dates, a couple of marriages, and death dates. I have the key pages as JPEG files if anyone is interested. Douglas H. My ancestor is Eunice Baxter Fletcher, daughter of John Baxter and Hannah Culver. I have census info that John and Hannah lived in Boston, Ionia Co. Mich. in 1850 only 2 households from son, Hiram (your ancestor). Also, 1860 census has Hannah (listed as "Anna") living with Eunice and family, so I guess John died between 1850 and 1860. The only info that I have that John is Nathan's son is from the Latter Day Saints website from a patron sheet. There was a Nathan Baxter who lived in Norfolk, St. Lawrence, NY in the 1830's b/c Ancestry.com has Nathan listed in the database for Rev. War Pensions that were rejected. My Eunice and husband married in Norfolk, St. Lawrence, NY. I feel certain that our info is correct. Just can't prove it. I'll keep looking and let you know if I find anything substantial. Sally
