"Jimbo" had several children one of which was Susan Lucinda Baxter (Lana Floyd's GG Grandmother) and also John Anderson Baxter, my G grandfather. John A. Baxter also came to Texas in the late 1800's (Johnson county). I have more info. if you are interested. Let me know..

    2. Kate McIlwaine Turner (b. April 29, 1861, d. July 20, 1934) I can not find Kate McIlwain listed in the family of McIlwaim amd Cathy Fletcher. Mary Ellen McIlwain married my gr gr uncle James Monroe Baxter. They lived in Escatawpa and Vinegar Bend Alabama, Washington County/ Story goes The McIlwain parents died young , Mary Ellen McIlwain at age fourteen years old married my gr gr uncle James Monroe Baxter. There was another sister named Sarah, and two brothers, Doctor and Ephrain I do not see a listing for Kate McILwain. The two younger children were adopted by other families. One of the families were the Turners. Kath McIlwain Turner married my gr gr aunt Elizabeth Baxter Platt's son J. W. Platt/ (Parents of J. W. Platt were John Calvin and Elizabeth Baxter Platt of Esscatawpa ,Alabama, Washington County. I have also just found out, Mary Lou Plat is the daughter Hardy Monroe, Platt, Jr. Somewhere I found her listed as being married to Roger Platt, this is wrong Roger is her brother. Mary Lou Platt is married to a Davidson. Can anyone help me with this? The information, about Kate McIlwain Turner Platt , I received several years ago from a member of one of the Platt Family. I feel I need to correct any mistakes. Thanks for your help.     2. I am seeking information of the birthplace, burial place and ancestry of William Baxter, a Revolutionary War veteran from Massachusetts. He and wife Abigail Newcomb? had several children named: William Francis, Chester, Spencer, Daniel, Israel D., John, Septimus, Almena, Edward, William Bartley and Emily. He served in the Revolution from Massachusetts and received a pension there and later in Oswego County, New York. Several of his children moved to Oswego and/or Onondaga Counties, New York. Some of them moved later to the "west", including Michigan. Any information regarding this large family will be appreciated!
