It traveled accross the Atlantic Ocean settling in the Massachusetts area then Migrated to Westchester County, NY. A Family member was part of the NY Militia that served in the Revolutionary War fighting against the British. This is interesting information Because I knew Marcus Baxter, beget Gideon Baxter, who beget John Baxter, who beget Everett W. Baxter, who beget Ferris Jaycox Baxter, who beget Ernest W. Baxter, (my dad), to me your writer. I thought we were primarily a Putnam Valley/Phillipstown, Putnam County, NY Family. I do not have the Bible with me as I write this now but will send a follow up memo with greater detail of family names in a followup memo in the next two days. For the moment I am interested in knowing if anyone has information on my family line they would like to share with me. Please contact me directly at GBAXTER628@aol.com. If you provide your "Snail Mail" address, phone number, and a date and time to call you, (if here in the United States), we could phone meet. "Garth"

His funeral arrangements were by Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home in Dallas. I have contacted the Rockmart Journal to see if an obituary for Mr. Baxter would be in their paper. I was told the funeral home usually sends the obituaries to them, but they had not received a notice for Mr. Baxter. No further help was offered. Does anyone know how I can obtain an obituary for this person? I would like to comfirm, if this is the son of Dewey P. Baxter and Cordie GAMEL Baxter. If you have this obituary and could post it to this message board, I would really appreciate it. Or, you can email it to me. Any help is appreciated and thank you for taking the time to read this post. btw...making a visit to the funeral home is not an option, I live in another state. Thanks!
