    2. Doreen, I don't know if we connect as I've only been able to go back as far as my ggggrandfather Duncan Baxter married to Janet McMillan in NY and he died early abt 1792. Was a sailor and left 3 children: John, Helen and Isobel. Janet was also from Scotland. Please let me know directly? Thank you. Jeannine

    3. Hi I have Baxters Driffield Yorkshire but am not that far back. I've only got to the late 1700's. Maybe. Maybe you have some of my family in West Yorkshire. I am at carolw@idirect.com . I would like to pursue this connection. I am nee Carol Baxter. My paternal grandfather and grandmother were both born in Yorkshire, Henry Baxter and Annie (Stabler). Henry was born to Samuel Baxter and Anne (Withall) in West Yorkshire. Samuel and Anne had several children and I have been tracking Samuel's lineage back and have some unconfirmed names and dates. Any help you can give would be appreciated.     2. Researching names: Woulard, Waldrop, Baxter, McQuire, Lofton,Chason, Lopers I have join the United Daughters of the Confederacy. My gr gr uncles Benjamin Woulard (Born 1842 died 1914) and W. D. Woulards who fought in the Civil War. I need a copy of the original Washington County Newspaper if they date back to 1914. I need a copy of the original obit of Ann L. Wouland to place the death of B. F. Woulard.(Jr.) or if anyone knows of a copy of B. F. Woulard"s death. Does anyone have the original Obit in the Washington County News paper. The one I have is hand written. Does anyone in the Loper family know where B. F Woulard is buried? He has a marker in State Line, Mississippi and Kittrell Cemetery. But , I can't find Ann McQuire Woulard's grave at State Line where the obit mentions or Ben Woulard 's(Jr.) grave. I was wondering if anyone in the Chason or Loper families might know where the Woulards are buried. Does anyone know anything about where they lived in Eret, Mississippi just five miles from Sateline? I have Ben's pension and he and W. D. Woulard were with the 36th Alabama Reg.. Company I. Ann L. Woulard 1914 Washington County Newspaper Death of Ann L. Woulard ( also married to McQuire) Mrs. Ann L. Woulard died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Thomas Loper. (Loper, Alabama), on Monday night September 21, 1914, at 7:30 p. m. O'clock. She was 74 years old and leaves three daughters. Mrs Annie Chason of Buckatuna, Mrs George Thomas Loper of Loper. Miss Rebecca Woulard of Mobile, besides a host of friends. Her husband B. F. Woulard died on the 11th of January, 1914. Mrs Woulard's health has been failing since. She was buried in Stateline Cemetery, near her old home , Wednesday. The News tender it's sympathy bereaved family. Sarah Ann Baxter married my ggg John Henry Berry from Barnwell County, Charleston, South Carolina. My father and his father and his father were all dark skinned people.
