He stated in the same letter that she was from the "Wainwright of and felt of the Revolution" I have no idea what he meant of that. Any information on the Wainwright would be a God sent as I have been unable to find anything on this line nor much on my Baxters. Thanks for any info. Sorry I couldn't help you.

Thanks for replying. The names I gave are all I have as of now. I just contacted the person who originally sent me letter. There are other names. When she sends them on, I will post them. Are your Baxters in Wisconsin? I am not sure if that is where Elizabeth's husband was, but I have come across an Almyra Baxter from Salem Ridge. That is the area Francis Baird was from. Apparantly there were Henry cousins in the area. My 2x great grandmother was Elizabeth (Harmon) Baxter Baird. She was b. March 16, 1814 Ohio. Bef. 1834 she was married to a Baxter, his first name is unknown at this time. I have the name of a granddaughter - Almyra or Myria who married John Henry. She Almyra had a Henry relative named Beth - maybe short for Elizabeth. If anyone out there has more info I would love hearing from them as we know nothing at this time of Elizabeth's first family. We know very little of Elizabeth herself. I am Elizabeth Harmon's descendant through her Baird marriage. Thankyou, Lucy Ann Baird-Clark

HI FOLKS LOOKING FOR ANY INFO I CAN FIND ON HERBERT HENRY BAXTER. HIS SON JOHN B, BAXTER WAS BORN IN 1942 IN ARKANSAS. ANY INFO WOULD BE VERY MUCH APPRECIATED. . THANKS BESSIE BAXTER TURLEY TENNESSEE >
Have you gotten a copy of John B. BAXTER's birth certificate? This would list both his parents names and the states they were born in. You can order that from the State of Arkansas Office of Vital Statistics. http://www.healthyarkansas.com/certificates/certificates.html Another resource would be his social security application (which he filled out himself). This would also list his parents names and their birth states. This can be ordered from the Social Security Administration for $27. Go to: http://ssdi.genealogy.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/ssdi.cgi Here is a sample letter you can send to Social Security Admin to request the copy of his application: Social Security Administration Office of Central Records Operations Attention: FOIA Workgroup P.O. Box 17772 300 N. Greene Street Baltimore, Maryland 21290 Please send me a photocopy of the actual application for a Social Security card (Form SS-5--Social Security Number Record Third Party Request for Photocopy) filed by the person listed below. I obtained this information from the Social Security Death Master file at RootsWeb.com, Inc. who obtained it from the Social Security Death Master file, originally compiled by the Social Security Administration. My understanding is that the fee is $27, when the Social Security number is provided or $29 if the Social Security number is unknown or incorrect. Enclosed is a check or money order for $___________, made payable to the Social Security Administration. Thank you for your assistance. BAXTER, John B. (Soc. Sec. #) Birth: mm/dd/1945 Sincerely, Address: Daytime Phone Number: ***** You could also request a copy of Herbert Henry BAXTER's social security application, which would get you his parents names and places of birth. Good luck and happy hunting! Lois in Auburn, CA
