Hello Ken, Please make sure first, if you are looking for Catholics or Protestants. Sickertshausen has a protestant parish. http://www.horlacher.org/germany/bavaria/bavschr.htm It is not listed in the holdings of the Landeskirchliche Archiv http://www.lkan-elkb.de/kirchenbuecher.htm , that means that it's either a new parish or that the records are still kept in the parish. The records of the catholic Sankt Johannes church of Kitzingen are in the diocesan archives of Würzburg. http://www.gf-franken.de/archwrzb.html I have put the most important links on the following page: http://www.kahlgrund-genealogie.de/location.html Michael -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Thursday, January 02, 2003 2:00 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [BAVARIA] Schlossnagle / Schlossnagel In a message dated 1/2/2003 3:00:36 AM Eastern Standard Time, [email protected] writes: > Johann Michel (Schlossnagel) Schlossnagle born 1790, Sickershausen, > Unterfranken (Hamburg), Bayern (Bavaria) married Ursula Barbara > Friederichin > his parents Johann Christoph Schlossnagle, Eva Barbara Bach. Hello Ken: The LDS site lists quite a few SCHLOSSNAGEL born in Sickershausen. Also, if you are looking for the Evangelical Church records, they have been filmed, 1673-1954 by LDS and can be obtained through your local Family History Center. If you need the Catholic records, they have probably been sent to the diocesan archives, and, if you would like, I could probably help you find which archive to contact. Paul C. Miller
