Unfortunately the records for the town have not been filmed by LDS, and many Bavarian church records have been moved to the archives. Poppengrun appears to be near Bamberg, and if you are looking for Catholic records, you could send an e-mail to the Bamberg Diocesan Archives and ask if the records are stored there: [email protected] If you are looking for the Evangelical records, send an e-mail to: [email protected] Be sure to mention that you are researching the Poppengrun in Bavaria because there is also a town in Saxony with the same name.
