Darlene, I thought probably no connection, but then no tries no gain. The county of Aschaffenburg is in the north west area of Bavaria, east of Frankfurt on the Main. It was Unterfranken, Lower Franconia in English and probably still is, but old county was Alzenau. They are all small villages, some have been annexed by largest around and called cities. My Wilz people came from Michelbach, which since 1975 has been part of the city of Alzenau, which now contains besides Michelbach, Wasserlos, Horstein, Kalberau and Albstadt. This is quite a distance from Nuremberg, however so likely no connection unless one goes a long way back. Good hunting to you. Ken Wiltz in CA
