Yes, there is a whole huge set of books called Germans To America, but there are only 2 CD's, 1850 to 1888. Too bad your ancestors came before the dates on the CD's. That's the way it always seems to work---either before or after what we are seeing in books or CD's!! You can check at your local library to see if there is a library in your area that has the set of books---then you could write to them and ask them to do a look-up. Or there is a place on here called something like "books we own" that does look-ups. Check the site for rootsweb to see where that site is if you are interested in using it.
