Adam and Susanna Sailer Dirnberger brought their family to the US about 1845, at New Orleans, and went upriver to settle at New Hamburg, Scott County, Mo. Adam was born in 1797 and Susanna in 1799. They had six children and were Catholic. Granddaughters indicated that their father had come from Munich. Since Adam and his son Michael were farmers, I wonder whether the family had originally been from metropolitan Munich or, perhaps, from a rural community nearby. In any event, I am searching for the place of origin of Adam Dirnberger and his family. Any assistance would be appreciated regarding this aspect of the search.
