Hi, As long as I've been mentioning my (VERY) unfinished Bavaria Gen Web website < g>, I might as well put out the call for volunteer translators and / or people who have specific resources that they might be willing to do look-ups for others in. So far all I have for the individual volunteer translators are Karin Bachhuber and Ilse Flick. The more who volunteer, the less of a burden on everyone overall. :-) Volunteers are welcome to request notes to be added with their entries such as: "short texts only" "also able to transcribe documents written in Old German Script" "only available to translate during the months of January through April" etc., etc. Here is the page where your name and contact info would appear under "Volunteer Translators": http://www.rootsweb.com/~deubay/correspondence.html (also on a mirror site: <<http://www.bavariagen.com/correspondence.html>>) For Look-ups: If you have a written town history, an Ortsippenbuch, etc. that you would be willing to do look-ups in for others with the same place interest, that would be appreciated. I'm also especially looking for people who have "Germans to America" CD's and would be willing to do "blind searches" in those. I did include a note at the top of the section for people NOT to ask for blind searches in location-specific resources! Your name and contact information would appear here: http://www.rootsweb.com/~deubay/lookups.html (also at the mirror site: <<http://www.bavariagen.com/lookups.html>> You might wish to check the table on the page to see the resource note information others have already given for their own resources. Thank you! Joanne
