I am thinking that I gave the wrong info to a person. But it could work both ways. The Catholic church has most of the records and I have not hear anything about the records from the New Orleans Library, that and the Church if he was catholic. The records were shiped from NO, to Baton Rouge, but when I was in New Orleans a couple of years ago, they had copies of the Immigrants papers they were to have filled out. MOst people could not read or write, especially a different language. I really don't think the Church would turn loose of their records. I found the Certific of Marriage, about the same for other uses. Archdiocese of New Orleans Archives, 1100 Chartre Street, New Orleans< Louisiana, 70116. They will help you if they can. You can write to them and they will send you what they need. ----- Original Message ----- From: "PeterVal1979" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, June 26, 2003 6:09 PM Subject: [BAVARIA] FAUST in Bavaria > Hi, > > Searching for a Daoworlt (sometimes written Theobald) FAUST born around 1815 in Bavaria.
