Hi there, I'm looking for information on a Josephine KLUG born about 1826 in Deidersheim, Germany. It looks like she emigrated to the US around 1852 arriving in New Orleans where she later married and died. Anyone with information please contact me. Thanks, Pete

The Catholic church handled much of this information, and the main library in down town New Orleans has a lot of that stuff. The problem with it, is the peoplecould not read or write in many cases and records were not filled out. If they were Catholic, the records would be there. City of New Orleans Health Department, You may have been thur all of that.
