I have often found the marriage recorded both in the bride's church and the groom's church. Sometimes the record will say where the ceremony took place, but not always. Also the bride may have been working in the groom's community and as an adult be a member of that church. I know that it was traditional with my English family lines for a marriage to take place in the bride's church. Was there any particular custom for Bavarian or Catholic weddings with regard to where a marriage took place? Thank you! Best regards, Janet Zengel Messer Micanopy, Florida USA
