I just finished reading "The Lost German Slave Girl" by John Bailey. It's a true story and paints a good picture of what life was like for some early immigrants and will give you a good understanding about the Redemptioners. It was better than a mystery! I highly recommend it. You can read reviews online at Amazon.com. Pat
