    3. > I checked Rausch on Ancestry.com today. I did not find any Rausch family in the immigration records that seemed likely. The handwriting on the documents was quite bad, so it was hard to be sure. It is possible that the writing in the church records was hard to decipher and the word the secretary wrote as "Bruckenan" might have been something entirely different.
