I am also looking for my KUHN ancestors in Bavaria. Louis KUHN was born 12 January 1827 in Neustadt am Main and had 2 sisters, Elizabeth and Anna, and a brother, John. Their parents were Anton KUHN and Barbara SCHMITT. I believe that Anton was a Game Warden for the Duke of Lowenstein. Louis KUHN came to the USA in 1849 settling in (Williamsburg) Brooklyn NY. His brother, John, and sister, Elizabeth (married Frank Auth), came to the United States also. I would like to find out more about Anton and his ancestors. I know the Bavarian records were not allowed to be filmed by the LDS Church. So other than going to Bavaria or hiring someone to do the research, are there any other options available to me for searching for my KUHNs?
