In the 1600's there are records of the Hegwein family in GNODSTADT, BAYERN. I can't find it on any of my maps. Can someone tell me where it is or was? Towns close by might locate it on modern maps. Thanks, Dianne

Hi, I grew up in one of the neighboring towns (Ochsenfurt). Gnodtstadt is a small farming village, very fertile soil. A few miles from the river Main. They have good sized, stately farmer houses there. I think there's a family book on the protestant parish in Marktbreit by Fritz Mägerlein with the GFF (http://www.gf-franken.de/ ). Regards Stefan
