    1. Geography in 19th Century
    2. We have just begun researching Bavarian roots. Mormon church records show some of my wife's ancestors as: Valentin Ruppert (Jr.) christened in 1813 in "Evangelisch, Goelheim, Pfalz, Bayern". Anna Maria Kellers (or Keller) christened 1776 in "Evangelisch, Goelheim, Pfalz, Bayern". We assume Evangelisch means Lutheran Church, Goelheim is the town and Pfalz (also known as Palantine) is a state within Bayern (Bavaria). Philippine Bohlander born 1826 in "Jakobsweiler, Pfalz, Bayern". We assume Jakobsweiler is a town. Do we understand the locations correctly? Is anyone else researching these people? Roy
