Hi I used www.meinestadt.de and found 9 entries for Lippe in Bavaria. None of the entries come under the actual name of Lippe, but under other towns. This most likely means that Lippe is a very small village that is now counted as part of a larger town area. Here are the names I found: Bad Feilnbach Baernau Ering Gaimersheim Konnersreuth Leupoldsgruen Naila Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz Unterthingau To find the towns in the internet it is often enough to type in (for eg): www.baernau.de. In this way you might quickly get to the right spot. If you can find an address for the "Stadtverwaltung" (=city hall) on the site, a quick email (or sometimes you will need to write a letter), will confirm that Lippe is now part of that place. You can also ask which church (catholic most likely) was responsible for that village in the early 1800s. This way you can narrow down a search - look up the LDS site to see if the registers have been filmed, or even write to the church and ask. I have found that most times the Stadtverwaltung is very helpful, and the churches also tend to answer letters - although they might not do a search for you as most registers are centralised in Regensburg. For that archive you have to pay a fee. I hope this might have helped. Sorry there are 9 entries to plough through! I had a similar problem in Bavaria - it was a real nightmare.
