    3. Thanks for answering. On the Stadtarchiv Twistringen website I found Herr Bach's tel. no. 04246/537. Conrad Harms listed his birthdate as 18 Oct 1830 in Altenmarhorst, Twistringen, Amt Freudenberg, Hannover, Prussia. I understand that today is in Diepholz, Niedersachsen. He applied for naturalization in 1852 in Lancaster, PA. Sometimes he spelled his name "Harmes". In PA he joined the German Lutheran Church and was married here. I notice there are many by the name of Harms in the area so am trying to locate his parentage and siblings. Of course, I shall pay for any contacts you make on my behalf. You are very kind.
