Hi Pamela, You made no big blunder! Any suggestions that will help us in our research are most welcome. If it costs money [and it's not your own personal promotion to make money], at least we know what's available and can decide for ourselves if it is worth it or not. Any helpful ideas for our German research are greatly appreciated - at least by this 68 year old Grandma! Peggy in Utah In a message dated 9/26/2005 9:51:09 A.M. Thanks Peggy!! It is nice to know. I have travelled all over Southern Germany looking in old churches and graveyards! And I know that it is not easy....so I never thought twice about posting the museum site just because they charged 15. or 30. I would have Gladly paid that had there been something like that when I was knee deep in old records books!!! LOL WHOEVER thought looking up your roots was just a hobby NEVER did it!!! It is a time consuming and tedious job! But the rewards are wonderful!! When you find a matching name and date, it makes you smile all day long!!! Oh yes, For those of you who may have these names in your tree (see below) my Mother has a website http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~nilajean/ that she is trying to identify some old fotos found in a box from her Ggrandmother. (click on Unidentified Photos) She did a great job scanning the old tin pictures!! I am still amazed with her abilities in Photoshop! Who would think a Great Grandmother would be such a whiz on the computer!!
