    3. Hello Sandy At the moment I cannot put too much hope in this Dauenhauer. The death certificate that I have says he was 47 when he died in 1866. That would put his birth year at 1819, a difference of about 7 years. But you know how frequently dates, ages, records are askew. I believe this Peter traveled with a Jacob Dauenhauer about 2 years younger. I am planning a trip to New Orleans in May and I hope I can find something to confirm or reject this Peter. Interesting about the reference to his service in the Militia. That gives me another clue to look into. Where is home Sandy? I was born in New Orleans but left there in the 1960s and now call St. Louis home. Our son and family lives here and we retired here. 3. Hi Max, At www.familysearch.org I found a Josephus DAUENHAUER b. 1822, with same parents as Jacob DAUENHAUER, b. 1821. They seem to have been born in "Roemisch-Katholische" (Latin for Roman Catholic), so you know the religion, and the area is given as Dahn, Pfalz, Bayern. Hope this helps, Beth STEINBERG ARNOTT ----- Original Message ----- From: "Max Burgdorf" <pharmaxx@msn.com> To: <BAVARIA-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, April 05, 2005 5:03 PM Subject: Re: [BAVARIA] Peter Dauenhauer > Hello Sandy > At the moment I cannot put too much hope in this Dauenhauer.
