I have just recently subscribed to this list and for a few days only looked at postings to get an idea about the types of ?'s asked here. My search is for my Gr-grandparents who immigrated from Bavaria in the 1890's. They were John Lenard Zimmerman/n? of Gschwendt (?) Bavaria, also have a note that he may have been from Nurenburg. He may have been Johan when he came in 1890. She was Margareta Ertel who was from Rosenberg, Bavaria and came to the US in 1891. They were married in Minnesota, later moving w/several children to Sauk Co. WI. I too have had a difficult time finding the ship info - after the Germans to America listings I have access to. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
