Looking for information on Lewis POPPENHEIM (PAPPENHEIM). He was born in Stanheim in Hessen on the 11th of November 1750. He came to the U.S. in 1776. I was told this was near Bavaria. His son John was born same place on 20th day of October in 1776. Do not know who his mother was. Also family history is that there was a Pappenheim Castle in the family.
