I am trying to locate the town(s) in Bavaria from which my ancestors emigrated to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Joseph SALBECK arrived in the US in 1860. He was born 24 August 1830. His father's name was Wolfgang and his mother's name was Anna. His military records from the Civil War located in the National Archives make no mention of his birthplace. No naturalization papers have been found. He was married to Maria SCHOENBERGER in Milwaukee on 16 July 1867. She was born 11 January 1838, but her year of emigration is not known. Her father's name was Michael and her mother's name was Threasia.. Any help or leads would be appreciated. Barbara dthut@execpc.com
