I am seeking information on ancestors from the Schwabische area of Bavaria. Records show that 4 siblings (2F, 2M) emmigrated in 1855 from the village of Oberingingen (also Oberringen ?) directly to St. Clair County, Michigan(apparently). The parents of these four were Mathias Welser and Barbara (Meyer) Welser. The Village of Oberlum (unk) is also involved, as one of he older boys is shown to have been born in Oberlum. I have been poking around and even visited Oberingingen this summer while on vacation. The nearest church dates to 1957. The village is northwest of Augsburg in a predominantly agricultural area. The Michigan Welsers became farmers so the roots are probably farm stock. Any help would be appreciated Dave Welser Edgewater, MD
