I have the same question as Linda. My ancestor, Frederick Pfeiffer (Peiffer) came from Bavaria to Pennsylvania in 1860, probably with his wife Margaretta. Census data indicated he was "naturalized" in 1861. Maybe they came in through Philly. I do know that Fredericks brother "sponsored" him to come over. So, the questions I have are: 1. Building on Linda's questions, how can I find his Naturaliation records? 2. What is the best approach to finding records of Fredericks mother and father in Bavaria?
