Hello Gerald, this should be Maximilian II, who became king of Bavaria in 1848. He was married on Oct 12, 1842 in Munich to Marie Hedwig of Prussia. He is the father of the famous king Ludwig II of Bavaria who built the castles Neuschwanstein, Hohenschwangau etc. More information see http://www.dcs.hull.ac.uk/cgi-bin/gedlkup/n=royal?royal01143 Regards Monika Pertsch pertsch@uni-bonn.de BAVARIA-D-request@rootsweb.com wrote: > Subject: [BAVARIA] > Date: Thu, 25 Nov 1999 13:18:03 PST > From: "gerald KISABETH" <geraldkisabeth@hotmail.com> > To: BAVARIA-L@rootsweb.com > > To all you Bavarian experts, I have a question: > A relative was invited by the Bavarian Prince for his wedding.
