Hello all, I'm new to the list - just finding out my grandmother, Ana Barbara (ENGELHARDT) DENZER, was born in Bavaria in 1889 in a town called Schwabach. It is just south of Nurnberg and not very big. I have been having trouble finding out much about the town (especially wanted to get addresses of Lutheran churches that had been there for at least 90 years and also archives address for Schwabach). I have no information on my grandmother's parents, siblings, etc. and am currently hitting my head against the wall trying to decide where to turn. I would like to find current relatives in the area. Grandma went back to Germany in 1950 to see family, shortly after her husband, Heinrich Joseph Denzer, died. (I was a child then and can only remember the Duhr family, who she visited, though there were a number of others too) I know there were quite a few relatives in the Schwabach area, but have no idea of there names/addresses. Also would like to find birth and marriage information for my grandparents. They got married during World War I. Does anyone have any suggestions for me? I'm open to most anything at this point.
