I am looking for any HINDERLEITNER-HINDERLITER families still residing in Bavaria. My line goes back to that family living in HOFREITH (Hofkirchen Parish) Bavaria in 1642, then moving to DIETFURT, Bavaria about 1699. The family lived in Dietfurt until leaving for Philadelphia in 1738. Johan Caspar Hinderleitner married Maria KLAUSSECKHER in 1672 in Dietfurt. I understand there are three towns named Dietfurt but I do not know which one the Hinderleitners lived in. Any ideas on locating this family that remained in Bavaria will be greatly appreciated.
