By education and training, she is a historian (who devotes her time to her family and research). She reads the 'old' German. I employed Ms. Schleichert in June, 1999 to help me research my maternal grandmother's family line. She traveled to Illschwang. met me at my grandmother's parish and, in searching the records for four-plus hours, uncovered more information than I could have in four months. There's more to the story, a 'chance' meeting of a relative and a visit to two homes. Sabine spent the entire day with me before she boarded the train back to Munich. She charged $350.00 travel and research. I paid by credit card at the end of the day. She promptly e-mailed a gedcom file to me with the information and followed up by writing the village of my grandmother's birth and mailing me a certified copy of this registration (at no extra charge).
