Hi Listers, Me again! In the year of 1857 in Hamilton County, Cincinnati, what was the common practice with wedding announcements? (St.John The Baptist Church is where they were married.) Was it common practice to place an announcement in the local newspapers? Ex.- My people were FRESH from Germany, so a local German Newspaper probably. Right? Would this be the same procedure as looking fro obituaries? Just curious because it just popped into my head while i was taking a nap! I never actually gave this idea a thought before!
