Hi list members seek info or interest in family of MARTIN KINDSVATER (anglicized to Kindsfather) b. 15 June 1837 Karlstadt, Rheinbayern, d. 27 March 1911, Narrowsburg NY married REGINA FREUND b.29 Sept 1840 Bavaria, d. 20 May 1918 Narrowsburg NY. Year of marriage approx 1864 which is same year they came to USA. Had 11 children, several of whom i have info on. They first appear in 1875 New York census in Sullivan County. Have checked a lot of 1864 ships' lists with negative results - because of the Civil War (if 1864 is accurate) were many Germans coming thru Canada ? Thanks in advance for any info.
