Hello all, Thank the lord after 2 years of searching for a place of Origin for My great great grandparents, i have finally found it. Thank you for all your help you gave me. I have yet another question. In the Declaration of intention for Naturalization papers, it lists that John Hauenstein is a native of Baizen, Germany. He was renounceing allegiance to the king of Baizen in Germany. Does anyone know where this is? I was always told he was from Bavaria. Is this in Bavaria? Securing passport in 1912. My grandmother born in Memmingen, Bavaria married to a Swiss in Switzerland and subsequently divorced but still living in Switzerland. As far as documents for naturalization in US, she was a German citizen. Upon coming to the US where would she apply for a permit? Could she go anywhere in Bavaria or did she need to go to Memmingen or Munich? Is there anyone whith knowledge on this? Thank you for your help. Claire
