I have a picture of an ancestor, HOFMANN, dated around mid 1800s (I'm guessing), Most of the family came from Obersinn, Bavaria . He is obviously in a military jacket and there are abt 10 medals across his breast. I can see most of them quite clearly. Is there a site that has pictures of medals awarded in Germany or explains what they are for, when or where? Thanks Nancy
