Hi, Marmie, Early marriages are being put on the Illinois Archives Web site. I did a quick run-through using just Br for the bride's surname. I saw no BRUNNENMEYER, but noticed several varieties in three counties. I didn't see Anna Marie, but I was going fast. Anyway, not all counties are complete; some aren't started, and some records haven't survived. If you know what county she was in, you can check the status. If they stayed in Illinois, John Christian's name should show up on the list if there is a record. And wouldn't his name be on the 1860 census even if his mother's name changed? In a perfect world, maybe? Go here http://www.sos.state.il.us/depts/archives/arc_home.html Land records, Civil War records and many county records also are listed. Explore the whole site. Hope you find something useful.
