He and his wife, Anna Hubert, born ?-03-1848 in Konradsreuth emigrated to the U.S. during 1881. A researcher in the U.S. traced the whole family tree back to the date of arrival, 25-03-1881 The early American records tend to show the surname as KRUEL. The ship passenger list ("Marathon") shows the name as Johannes Kruel In the christening documentation it may be spelt as Johannes Nicol Kruel. Any help will be most welcome! Thank you.
