Do you have any information regarding the Coat of Arms over the gates of Saltzburg? In my research I have found that Hester Salusbury Thrale Piozzi may have shown a copy of the Salusbury Coat of Arms (from Wales) and pedigree to an official in Salzburg (in the late 1700- early 1800's), and this official verified that the Coat of Arms was the same and that the pedigree she showed the official was authentic. Where do I need to search for additional information the verify this fact? I have not found a reference book written by Mrs. Piozzi which contains this information, but it is believed that she wrote in her book, _Autobirgaphical Memoirs_, "The Salusbury pedigree is perpetually referred to by Pennant in his numerous volumes. I showed an abstract of it to the heralds in the office at Saltzburg and they acknowledged me a true descendant of their house."
