Dear Listers, I saw a film recently at my local LDS family history library. It was a Geburten somethingorother, civil records, for 1836-1846. In it I was looking for the birth of my great grandmother, Nov. 16 1840. I did not find her. I do not know what Geburten means. Is it more likely that I would find her in a Catholic Church book? She was a Catholic and lived in a village near Saarbrucken. This area was sometimes French and sometimes German. Tom the Bewildered
