Hello Bavaria List Family: For some time I have been researching my GRUNDLER family and thought I would send the list members a profile of my family connection with the aspiration that someone would have additional information and or a family connection. All roots seem to point to the region of Eisenstein-Bavaria or the sister city of Eisenstein-Bohemia within the Pilsen District of Bohemia. The first, and some of the second generation of the Grundler family in America, were engaged in the glass manufacturing business and suspect the earlier generations (1800-1850) were also engaged in the same enterprise. Below you will find a brief profile of what I know of my Grundler family associations. It is my sincere desire to communicate with anyone who may have further information concerning this family. Thomas, There has some research been done relating to the Hafenbrädl family of Eisenstein - one of the famous families in the glass business in both the Bavarian and the Bohemien forest. Would you be interested to get in touch with them?
